Working in the studio with my friend, Mary. I'm trying to do some embroidery with human hair (clean) but having a difficult time knotting it off. Did I happen to mention my piece is a hand-painted silk apron. Meanwhile, Mary is struggling with sewing on binding. Any advice for us?
Hi Margie--not sure if you remember me. I took your deconstruct/reconstuct class at Smith Owen. Made the jacket out of old blue jeans and a vintage table cloth. I'm trying to reach you and lost your cell phone number. Can you either call me at work 616-940-1713 or e-mail me at theresam@samarawoods.org. We're working on an event and I want to know if you're interested and available. Thanks--hope all is going well for you.
ReplyDeleteIt's been too long since I've been to my blog. To catch up.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I "interned" at BBS, a sails company and learned to first use the industrial machines, repaired sails, sewed bunk partions for race sailboat, and made a new sail cover for our Ruby's main sail. I now have visions of large pieces, created from sails! We'll see!
